1932-2012

Betty June Park entered into eternal peace on Sunday, Sept. 16, in Dickinson. She was born Oct. 25, 1932 to Guy Roy and Stella Norvell in El Dorado, Oklahoma.
Betty June grew up in McLean until her marriage to DeNean "Denny" Park in 1950. During Denny's career in highway construction, the couple traveled and lived throughout Texas.
They only called a few places "home," including Devine, Uvalde and Bandera.
Betty June served as cashier at the OST restaurant for many years.
She enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and shopping at craft and thrift stores. However, her greatest joys came from spending time with the family - especially her grandchildren, Melissa and Brandon Williams, Justin Raab, Stephen Park, Philip and Rebekah Boyd, DeNean Park and Sarah Samford; and great-grandchildren Adelynn and Teal Ivy and Avery Williams.
Betty is survived by her children, Denice Williams and her husband, Ted, of Dickinson; Gwen James and her husband, Rick, of Bandera; and Cindy Samford and her husband, Travis, of Hondo; and her brother, Henry Norvell, and his wife, Mary, of Devine.
She was predeceased by her parents, Guy Roy and Stella; brother Roy Norvell; husband Denny; and son Larry Dean.
A funeral service was held at Grimes Funeral Chapel in Bandera, Thursday, Sept. 20. Burial followed at the Bandera Cemetery.
