Stimulus tax dollars at work

By Carol L. Smith

City work crews are busy, busy, doing the drainage work and installing new sewer pipes that the City of Bandera received a stimulus grant to complete. “They are working quickly and trying to minimize the noise and traffic congestion,” said City Administrator Gene Foerster, “We have come in under our grant amount and are trying to get extra work done – whatever we can do that has been environmentally cleared.” The city has ordered box conduits for the drainage work to be completed on 12th Street across from the United States Post Office, between Oak and Sycamore streets. Good weather should help city crews further expedite the process.
