Hay thwarts traffic on FM 1283
BCC Staff
An 18-wheeler tractor and trailer combo, loaded with round bales of hay, tipped over on its side, at approximately 9:30 am, Wednesday, Jan. 27, blocking all lanes of traffic on FM 1283 at the intersection of Highway 16. Clarence Glen Love, 77, of the Love Ranch in Goldthwaite, was delivering the hay to a customer in Pipe Creek, traveling east on Highway16. When the bales shifted on the back of the trailer during a right turn onto FM 1283, both the truck and trailer tipped to the left. Love was transported to the Kerrville Veterans Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries. His 1984 Peterbilt truck was damaged on the top left of the cab and was towed to Kyle Ranch in Pipe Creek.
