Reeves announces bid for county treasurer

Billie Reeves is seeking election for the position of Bandera County Treasurer on the upcoming Republican primary ticket.

Reeves and her family have resided in Pipe Creek for the past 19 years. She has been married to husband, Joe, for 20 years and the couple has three wonderful children – Kaylee, 17; Rozlyn, 16; and Joe, 14. The family attends Hill Country Chapel.

Reeves holds two degrees – an Associate of Applied Science from Texas State Technical Institute and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Sam Houston State University.

While growing up in Helotes, she assisted with a family business was run from the home, learning early all aspects of business operation, such as bookkeeping, purchasing, dealing with government contracts, receivables, payables, and collections.
Her outside work experience includes management, marketing and professional and patient education for a major medical diagnostics company in which she managed the fastest growing territory nationwide.

Additionally, Reeves has worked closely with the Internal Revenue Service during an audit, has implemented OSHA-based training classes and has managed human resources for her husband’s family-owned business in Helotes.

She currently works at the Texas AgriLife Extension Services of Bandera County as a program assistant where her duties include educating youth with various programs such as bullying, ethics in agriculture, and the latest, ATV safety. She also works as a substitute teacher for Bandera Independent School District.

Reeves currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Silver Sage Corral Senior Activity Center, and is a member of the Bandera County Republican Women organization.

Her ability to work with and to motivate others to be the best they can be has been her key to a successful life.
