Juveniles under investigation at local RV park

By Carol L. Smith

Thousand Trail members visiting the resort over the Thanksgiving holiday were surprised to find a couple of juveniles, approximately 14 to 15 years old, roaming the park in ski masks and carrying BB guns.

Several calls had been made to the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday, Nov. 28, complaining of the teenagers’ suspicious behavior and criminal mischief. Four deputies were dispatched to the Thousand Trails Membership Resort Park, located on Spettel Road in Lakehills. The resort is open to members and guests only, most of whom utilize RVs.

Apparently the teenagers had accompanied the grandparents to the resort. However, the grandparents were apparently unaware of their grandsons’ actions.

No actual robberies were known to have been committed, but the juveniles may be suspects in other crimes. Public information about the incident is limited because the investigation is still underway and that the suspects in question are juveniles.
