Rice University provost to discuss school's progress & future


Rice University Provost George McLendon will meet with Rice alumni, beginning at 6:30 pm, Friday, Jan. 27, at the Riverhill Country Club, 100 Riverhill Club Lane, in Kerrville.

McLendon will discuss the school's progress and future as Rice prepares to enter its second century. The lecture will cover the academic profile and goals of Rice, which ranks among the nation's top 20 universities. The university is celebrating its centennial this year.

McLendon's presentation, which is sponsored by the Association of Rice Alumni, is open to Rice alumni. A reception for Rice University Hill Country alumni will follow the presentation.
