Department of Public Safety troopers have investigated numerous traffic accidents during the month of April. Two resulted in serious injuries.

On Tuesday, April 5, Rock Morgan of Kerrville was traveling north on Highway 16 North, two-tenths of a mile north of Chenault's Lane when a deer ran out in front of his GMC Sierra pickup.

In attempting to avoid the deer, Morgan struck the guardrail. The truck flipped and ended upright on a fence.

He was air lifted to University Hospital in San Antonio.

The accident occurred at 11:30 pm.

On Friday, April 15, Brian David Pacey, 62, of Conroe, Texas, failed to negotiate a curve while riding his motorcycle on FM 470.

At 3:52 pm, Pacey ran off the road and struck a rock wall.

He lost control of the bike which skidded to a stop, resting on the left side.

Pacey was air lifted to University Hospital with incapacitating injuries.

As of Tuesday, April 19, he remained in ICU in stable condition.

Pacey was not wearing a helmet.
