Getting to know Bandera's nonprofit organizations
The Bandera Business Association will host a "Get to Know Bandera Nonprofit Organizations," beginning at 6 pm, Thursday April 14, at the Silver Sage Senior Activity Center, 803 Buck Creek Boulevard.
The nonprofits will share their goals and plans for the remainder of 2011. The meeting will also help local nonprofits connect with events that might assist with fundraising opportunities.
As a merchant membership organization, the Bandera Business Association is dedicated to improving tourism and business opportunities for Bandera merchants. "The economic impact we have in our community directly affects the local nonprofit organizations," BBA President Margaret Paradee said.
She continued, "The BBA wants to know more about local nonprofits and provide an opportunity for them to explain your mission to others. We hope all nonprofits will be represented and that they will bring brochures or organizational materials to share. We know that together we can do great things."
After a short meeting, light refreshments will be served.
