The Bandera County Sheriff Department responded to 225 dispatch calls from Nov. 27, 2017 to Dec. 4, 2017, which included 3 calls about shots fired, 1 gunshot victim, 1 vehicle fire, 7 major accidents; 2 minor accidents; 3 other accidents, 10 reckless driving, 2 road hazards, 2 loud noise/party, 1 terroristic threat, 1 harassment, 1 assault, 3 sexual assaults, 4 disturbances, 2 domestic disturbances, 3 stolen vehicles, 1 recovered stolen vehicle, 2 abandoned vehicles, 3 thefts, 6 burglaries, and 2 criminal mischief. There were 2 calls about fish and game violations, 9 animal calls, 1 dog/cat welfare, 4 loose livestock, 1 animal bite, and 19 calls about dogs and cats. There was 1 death report, 1 drug offense, 1 overdose, 3 calls for child protective services, and 6 welfare concerns. There were 2 calls regarding suspicious persons, 5 suspicious vehicles and 9 suspicious circumstances. There were 2 calls about missing persons, 3 runaways, 1 assist the public-inform, 8 calls for information, 10 extra patrol requests, 35 misdialed calls to 911, among other things.

Jail population included 7 females and 51 males for a total of 58 inmates; 18 of total were contract inmates from neighboring counties: 5 from Real County, 7 from Medina County, and 6 from Kendall County.
The Bandera County Sheriff Department, the Bandera Police Department, Texas Highway Patrol and the Department of Public Safety made arrests for the following crimes and warrants:
• Possession of less than 4gm and greater than 1 gm of a controlled substance and possession of less than 2 oz of marijuana, on Nov. 27
Court order, on Nov. 27
• 2 warrants from an outside agency and 3 traffic warrants, on Nov. 28
• Driving while license is invalid, on Nov. 28
• Traffic warrant, on Nov. 29
• Blue warrant, on Nov. 29
• Two warrants from an outside agency, on Dec. 1
• Warrant, NTRP- MISD, on Dec. 1
• Possession of controlled substance, on Dec. 2
•Prohibited substances and items in a correctional facility, and driving while license is invalid, on Dec. 2
• Possession of dangerous drug, on Dec. 2
• Possession of less than 1 gm of controlled substance penalty group 1, on Dec. 3
• Driving while intoxicated, second offense, on Dec. 3
