The Bandera County Sheriff Department responded to 244 dispatch calls from Nov. 20, 2017 through Nov. 27, 2017, which included 1 road rage incident; 2 major accidents; 1 minor accident; 5 other accidents; 1 stolen vehicle; 3 abandoned vehicle, 8 reckless driving; 2 loud noise/party, 1 criminal trespass, 3 criminal mischief, 4 fraud, 1 harassment; 2 disturbances, 6 shots fired; 2 thefts, and 3 burglaries. There were 2 calls about a fish and game violation, 1 animal bite, 5 calls about loose livestock, and 17 calls about dogs and cats. There was 1 runaway, 1 death report, 1 hospice death report, 1 mental commitment, 6 calls for child protective services and 6 welfare concerns. There were 3 calls regarding suspicious persons, 6 suspicious vehicles and 10 suspicious circumstances. There were 7 calls for information, 33 misdialed calls to 911, among other things.

Jail population included 08 females and 44 males for a total of 52 inmates; 15 of total were contract inmates from neighboring counties: 3 from Real County, 10 from Medina County and 2 from Kendall County.
The Bandera County Sheriff Department, the Bandera Police Department, Texas Highway Patrol and the Department of Public Safety made arrests for the following crimes and warrants:
• Assault with bodily injury, on Nov. 20
• Warrant arrest, on Nov. 20
• Three warrant arrests, on Nov. 20
• Driving while intoxicated, first offense, on Nov. 21
• Obstructing highway, on Nov. 21
• Public intoxication, on Nov. 21
• Two traffic warrants and other warrant, on Nov. 25
• Driving while intoxicated, first offense, on Nov. 26
• Driving while intoxicated, third offense, on Nov. 26
• Possession of controlled substance, greater than 1 gm and less than 4 gm., and possession of less than 2 oz of marijuana, on Nov. 27
