Summary
The Bandera County Sheriff Department responded to 227 dispatch calls from Oct. 16, 2017 to Oct. 23, 2017, which included 1 major accident; 3 minor accidents; 23 reckless driving, 2 loud music, 2 terroristic threats, 1 fraud, 1 harassment, 3 assaults, 5 disturbances, 1 domestic disturbance, 4 shots fired; 2 thefts, 4 burglaries, and 3 criminal mischief. There was 1 call about livestock welfare, 3 loose livestock and 19 calls about dogs and cats. There was 3 hospice death reports, 1 report of death, 1 call for child protective services, 5 welfare concerns, 2 missing persons, and 1 attempted suicide. There were 7 calls regarding suspicious persons, 9 suspicious vehicles and 12 suspicious circumstances. There were 7 calls to assist the public, 11 calls for information, 4 extra patrol requests, 33 misdialed calls to 911, among other things.

Jail population included 11 females and 40 males for a total of 51 inmates; 15 of total were contract inmates from neighboring counties: 4 from Real County, 6 from Medina County, and 5 from Kendall County.
The Bandera County Sheriff Department, the Bandera Police Department, Texas Highway Patrol and the Department of Public Safety made arrests for the following crimes and warrants:
• Operating and unregistered vehicle, on Oct. 16
• Driving while intoxicated, a first offense, on Oct. 16
• Retaliation, traffic offense, unauthorized use of motorized vehicle, theft, possession of less than 1 gm of controlled substance penalty group 1, tampering or fabricating evidence, tampering with vehicle or gun identification, driving without a license, and tampering with identification numbers, on Oct. 16
• Warrant from an outside agency, on Oct. 16
• Warrant from an outside agency, on Oct. 17
• Driving while intoxicated, a first offense, on Oct. 17
• Public intoxication, on Oct. 18
• Two counts of forgery at a financial institution and possession of less than 1 gm of controlled substance penalty group 1, on Oct. 19
• Warrant from child protective services, on Oct. 19
• Warrant for failure to appear, on Oct. 20
• Warrant arrest, on Oct. 20
• No liability insurance, on Oct. 20
