The Bandera County Sheriff Department responded to 242 dispatch calls from Oct. 09, 2017 to Oct. 16, 2017, which included 2 major accidents; 4 minor accidents; 22 reckless driving, 1 disorderly conduct, 1 fight in progress, 3 loud music, 1 terroristic threat, 2 harassments, 2 assaults, 3 disturbances, 3 domestic disturbances, 2 for drug offense, 3 shots fired; 4 thefts, 1 robbery, 2 burglaries, 2 fraud, 2 criminal mischief; and 3 criminal trespass. There were 8 calls about livestock welfare, 1 loose livestock, 2 animal bites, and 17 calls about dogs and cats. There was 1 hospice death report, 2 calls for child protective services, 1 for indecency with a child, 1 interference with child custody, 3 welfare concerns, and 1 assist citizen dispatch. There were 5 calls regarding suspicious persons, 5 suspicious vehicles and 16 suspicious circumstances. There were 2 calls to assist the public, 4 to assist other agencies, 9 calls for information, 5 extra patrol requests, 46 misdialed calls to 911, among other things.

Jail population included 11 females and 36 males for a total of 47 inmates; 14 of total were contract inmates from neighboring counties: 4 from Real County and 7 from Medina County.
The Bandera County Sheriff Department, the Bandera Police Department, Texas Highway Patrol and the Department of Public Safety made arrests for the following crimes and warrants:
• Driving while intoxicated, 1st offense, on Oct. 9
• Theft, on Oct. 10
• Warrant, on Oct. 11
• Unauthorized use of a motorized vehicle, on Oct. 11
• Public intoxication, on Oct. 11
• Driving while intoxicated, 2nd offense, on Oct. 11
• Possession of more than or equal to 10 gm and less than 40 gm of a controlled substance, and less than 2 oz of marijuana, on Oct. 11
• Driving while intoxicated with a child younger than 15 years old, on Oct. 12
• Court order, on Oct. 12
• Warrant, child protective services, on Oct. 12
• Warrant from an outside agency, on Oct. 14
• Warrant, driving without a license, speeding and driving while intoxicated, 1st offense, on Oct. 15
• Operating an unregistered vehicle, on Oct. 16
