The Bandera County Sheriff Department responded to 269 dispatch calls from Oct. 02, 2017 to Oct. 9, 2017, which included 3 major accidents; 2 minor accident; 1 hit and run, 17 reckless driving; 2 unauthorized use of motor vehicles, 1 disorderly conduct, 1 loud music, 1 terroristic threat, 1 harassment, 3 disturbances, 5 domestic disturbances, 7 shots fired; 5 thefts, 1 robbery, 1 burglary, 3 criminal mischief; and 1 criminal trespass. There were 2 calls about livestock welfare, 1 animal bite, and 29 calls about dogs and cats. There was 1 hospice death report, 3 attempted suicide calls, 11 calls for child protective services, 1 for child pornography, 5 welfare concerns, 2 runaways, and 1 found person. There were 8 calls regarding suspicious persons, 3 suspicious vehicles and 24 suspicious circumstances. There were 2 calls to assist the public, 3 to assist other agencies, 8 calls for information, 47 misdialed calls to 911, among other things.

Jail population included 11 females and 42 males for a total of 53 inmates; 14 of total were contract inmates from neighboring counties: 5 from Real County and 9 from Medina County.
The Bandera County Sheriff Department, the Bandera Police Department, Texas Highway Patrol and the Department of Public Safety made arrests for the following crimes and warrants:
• Possession of less than 2 oz. of marijuana, a bench warrant and a failure to appear warrant, on Oct. 2
• Criminal trespass, on Oct. 3
• Possession of less than 1 gm of a controlled substance penalty group 1, on Oct. 3
• Possession of less than 1 gm of a controlled substance penalty group 1, on Oct. 3
• Two traffic offenses, no liability insurance and a faiure to appear warrant, on Oct. 3
• Warrant from an outside agency, on Oct. 4
• Assault with bodily injury, on Oct. 5
• Driving without a license and violation of court order, on Oct. 5
• Four warrants from an outside agency, on Oct. 6
• Driving while intoxicated, 1st offense, on Oct. 7
• Evading arrest with vehicle and warrant from outside agency, on Oct. 7
• Driving while intoxicated, a 1st offense, on Oct. 7
• Driving while intoxicated, a 1st offense, and unlawful carrying, on Oct. 7
• Warrant from an outside agency, on Oct. 7
