Summary
The Bandera County Sheriff Department responded to 212 dispatch calls from Sept. 18, 2017 through Sept. 25, 2017, which included 3 calls for mail tampering, 1 for fraud, 1 for violating the litter abatement act, 9 welfare concerns; 2 major accidents; 3 minor accident; 20 reckless driving; 2 abandoned vehicles, 3 stolen vehicles; 2 public intoxications, 1 harassment, 5 disturbances, 1 domestic disturbance, 1 loud music, 3 thefts, 3 burglaries and 1 burglary in progress; 1 criminal mischief; and 1 criminal trespass. There were 11 calls about loose livestock, and 15 calls about dogs and cats. There was 1 hospice death report, and 3 calls for child protective services. There were 8 calls regarding suspicious persons, 5 suspicious vehicles and 7 suspicious circumstances. There were 7 calls for information, 4 to assist other agencies, 40 misdialed calls to 911, among other things.

Jail population included 9 females and 49 males for a total of 58 inmates; 18 of total were contract inmates from neighboring counties: 6 from Real County, 4 from Kendall County and 8 from Medina County.
The Bandera County Sheriff Department, the Bandera Police Department, Texas Highway Patrol and the Department of Public Safety made arrests for the following crimes and warrants:
• Assault with bodily injury, on Sept. 18
• Felony judgment, on Sept. 18
• Possession of drug paraphernalia, on Sept. 19
• Public intoxication, on Sept.20
• Obstructing signal, on Sept. 20
• Warrant arrest for motion to release funds and an outside agency, on Sept. 20
• Possession of less than 3 gm. of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and public intoxication, on Sept. 20
• Possession of contraband and driving without a liability insurance, on Sept. 21
• Failure to identify, two failures to appear warrants and prohibited weapon, on Sept. 22
• Driving while intoxicated and detain for imigration, on Sept. 22
• Public intoxication, on Sept. 22
• Possession of child pornography, on Sept. 23
• Assault with bodily injury, on Sept. 23
• Assault with bodily injury, on Sept. 25
