Karen Harris, Vice Chairman to the Texas Governor's Commission for Women, will speak at the Bandera County Republican Women meeting Thursday, Oct. 5. Karen and her husband, Edmund, split their time between Austin and Lakehills. Wife, mother, grandmother, businesswoman, political activist, woman of faith — she has many arrows in her quiver.

This committee is charged with assisting the Texas Education Agency in developing the criteria for campus merit in the area of academic achievement in reading/English language arts and mathematics.
