The Bandera County Sheriff Department responded to 217 dispatch calls from Sept. 11, 2017 to Sept. 18, 2017, which included 2 calls about fraud; 5 calls about business alarms, 2 residence alarm calls, 4 calls about road hazards, 3 major accidents; 3 minor accident; 18 reckless driving; 2 stolen vehicles; 1 assault; 4 harassment, 5 disturbances, 4 domestic disturbance, 2 shots fired; 1 call about loud music, 5 thefts, and 1 burglary. There were 5 calls about loose livestock; 4 animal calls, 1 animal bite, and 8 calls about dogs and cats. There were 3 hospice death reports, 1 call about a runaway and 1 call about a missing person; 4 calls for child protective services, 1 call regarding suspicious persons, 11 suspicious vehicles and 7 suspicious circumstances. There were 4 calls to assist the public, 13 calls for information, and 44 misdialed calls to 911, among other things.

Jail population included 9 females and 48 males for a total of 57 inmates; 16 of total were contract inmates from neighboring counties: 6 from Real County, 5 from Kendall County, and 5 from Medina County.
The Bandera County Sheriff Department, the Bandera Police Department, Texas Highway Patrol and the Department of Public Safety made arrests for the following crimes and warrants:
• Bench warrant and child protective services, on Sept. 11
• Two warrants for child protective services, on Sept. 12
Retaliation, assault with bodily injury, 7 outstanding warrants for failures to appear, driving while intoxicated first offense, 2 charges of resisting arrest, possession of less than 2 oz of marijuana, criminal mischief and violating court orders, on Sept 12
• Driving while intoxicated, on Sept. 12
• Public intoxication, on Sept. 13
• Possession of less than 2 oz of marijuana, on Sept. 13
• Unauthorized use of a motorized vehicle, on Sept. 15
• Warrant for failure to appear, on Sept. 15
• Public intoxication, on Sept. 16
• Driving while intoxicated, third offense, on Sept. 16
• Driving while intoxicated, third offense, on Sept. 16
• Two traffic warrants, on Sept. 17
• Driving while under the influence, on Sept. 17
