Summary
The Bandera County Sheriff Department responded to 200 dispatch calls from Sept. 4, 2017 to Sept. 11, 2017, which included 1 call for mail tampering; 2 fraud, 3 major accidents; 4 minor accident; 1 fleet accident; 9 reckless driving; 1 stolen vehicle; 1 terroristic threat, 1 harassment, 4 disturbances, 3 domestic disturbance, 2 loud noises, 1 shot fired; 3 thefts, 2 burglaries; 2 criminal mischief; and 2 criminal trespass. There were 4 calls about loose livestock; and 3 animal bites. There were 2 hospice death reports, and 4 calls for child protective services, and 1 missing person. There were 10 calls regarding welfare concern. There were 3 calls regarding suspicious persons, 4 suspicious vehicles and 7 suspicious circumstances. There were 34 misdialed calls to 911, among other things.

Jail population included 9 females and 52 males for a total of 61 inmates; 19 of total were contract inmates from neighboring counties: 6 from Real County, 7 from Kendall County and 6 from Medina County.
The Bandera County Sheriff Department, the Bandera Police Department, Texas Highway Patrol and the Department of Public Safety made arrests for the following crimes and warrants:
• Theft of an amount less than $50, minor in possession of tobacco
product, and evading arrest, on Sept 5
• Fictitious license plate, on Sept. 6
• Obstructing a highway, on Sept. 6
• Driving while intoxicated, on Sept. 6
• Driving without a license or insurance, on Sept. 8
• Assault with bodily injury, on Sept. 10
