BMA provides no details of closed session

By Bev Barr BCC Editor

The board of directors of the Bexar-Medina-Atascosa Counties Water Control and Improvement District (BMA) consulted with an attorney during an executive session that lasted approximately an hour and a half, Monday, Aug. 14. When the board returned to open session, they withdrew, tabled and otherwise took no action on agenda items.
The board of directors tabled the agenda item concerning the Waterfront Property Owners Association (WPOA) agreement, which was discussed in closed session, until the next regularly scheduled meeting.
The board consulted with legal council during closed session regarding The Bandera County River Authority and Groundwater District (BCRAGD). When the board returned, there was no discussion or action of any kind regarding BCRAGD. Representatives of BMA said that they cannot discuss the topic discussed in closed session and that it was a discussion for information purposes that required no action or future agenda item. A representative from BCRAGD said the topic of the closed session discussion was a mystery to them as well.
The next regular meeting of the board of directors will be at 5 pm, Monday, Sept. 11, in the district office at 2401 State Hwy 132, Natalia, Texas.
