Summary
The Bandera County Sheriff Department responded to 220 dispatch calls from 7/10/2017 – 7/17/2017, which included calls for 1 hit and run; 2 major accidents; 3 minor accidents; 10 reckless driving; 2 assaults; 1 found person; 8 disturbances, 5 domestic disturbances, 1 call for child protective services; 1 harassment; 5 thefts, 4 burglaries and 1 burglary in progress; 1 criminal trespass and 1 criminal mischief; and only one complaint about fireworks. There were 10 calls about loose livestock; 8 lost animals; 1 animal bite; and 6 calls about dogs and cats. Two calls were about shots being fired; and 1 regarding an attempted suicide. There were 5 calls regarding suspicious persons, 3 suspicious vehicles and 8 suspicious circumstances.

Jail population included 9 females and 56 males for a total of 65 inmates; 30 of total were contract inmates from neighboring counties: 3 from Real County, 10 from Kendall County, 15 from Medina County and 2 from Frio County.
The Bandera County Sheriff Department, the Bandera Police Department and Texas Highway Patrol made arrests for the following crimes and warrants

• Possession of drug and inhalation paraphernalia on July 10
• Public intoxication and possession of less than 1 gm. of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1 on July 10
• Driving with an invalid license and a failure to appear warrant on July 10
• Warrant arrest for an outside agency on July 10
• Warrant arrest for failure to appear and fleeing the scene on July 11
• Warrant arrest for an outside agency on July 10
• Driving under the influence of alcohol, a first offense, on July 11
• Driving under the influence, a minor, on July 12
• Warrant arrest for a motion to revoke probation on July13
• Possession of less than 1 gm. of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1 on July 14
• Intentionally reporting a false alarm, a misdemeanor on July 14
• Possession of drug and inhalation paraphernalia and driving with an invalid license on July 14
• Public intoxication on July 16
• Warrant arrest for an outside agency on July 11
