Bandera Public Library and Bandera Music Hall of Fame

The Bandera Music Hall of Fame will be hosting a reception at the Bandera Public Library located at 515 Main street, in Bandera on Thursday, July 13, from 6 - 7:30 pm. The event is a re-dedication of the display honoring the Musicians and Venues that have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
In 2005, the Bandera Library created the program, "Bandera Music History Project", to collect, preserve and present the music of local musicians in a juke box for the public to enjoy. The program has since evolved into the current Bandera Music Hall of Fame, which is now a separate non-profit organization that operates on donations. Each year the organization inducts local musicians in a public ceremony in April.
The library has always allowed the display to remain and it has recently been reorganized and has move to a featured location near the front door. All past Hall of Fame honorees as well as the public are invited to attend the July 13 event from 6-730 pm. Refreshment will be served as well as hors d’oevres created by Patrick J Mims, Sr, the Owner and Executive Chef of the new Samantha’s of Bandera. (Samantha’s of Bandera will be opening soon at the former site of Tavern 1856, at 702 Highway 16 South, next to Bandera Lodge).
