The Bandera City Council is still accepting applications for a temporary appointment to fill the council seat vacated by Sheila Pumphrey, who resigned from the council because of health reasons. Councilmembers will appoint a resident of Bandera City to fill the vacated seat at the next city council meeting scheduled for Monday, June 19.
So far, only one application has been submitted to the council for consideration. The deadline to submit an application is Friday, Friday, June 16, 2017. The term of the appointment will expire in November 2017.
The City Council meets at 7 pm, the first and third Mondays of the month, at the City Hall. Applications are available at City Hall, 511 Main Street in Bandera, or on the website at www.cityofbandera.org.
