Pair of Photography Workshops Offered by Local Professional

Registration is now underway for two photography workshops set to begin January 31 to kick off the new year. Conducted by local professional photographer Jeannette Joy Hormuth and hosted by Hoffman Haus in Fredericksburg, the workshops, "Exploring Camera Basics in Depth" and "Learning to See Creatively" offer hands-on learning opportunities for beginner to avid photographers alike.
Camera Basics in Depth
Shedding a little "light on the subject" of camera basics, the "Exploring Camera Basics in Depth" workshop offers participants the opportunity to grow in their understanding and command of their camera and the technical aspects of photography.
This course will delve more deeply into such topics as exposure, f-stops, shutter speed and lens choices, as well as the range, unique characteristics and creative possibilities they offer.
According to Ms. Hormuth, this course features demonstration coupled with engaging hands-on assignments all offered in a lighthearted, enlightening and highly informative manner.
The five-week "Exploring Camera Basics in Depth" workshop will be held Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8 pm, January 31 through February 28 at Hoffman Haus in Fredericksburg.
The fee for the course is $115.
Learning to See Creatively
The "Learning to See Creatively" Workshop will explore how to take better pictures by expanding one's photographic vision. Through demonstration of simple techniques and compositional tools, coupled with hands-on assignments and helpful critiques, participants will discover how to better "see" and, therefore, capture more interesting and creative images.
Light-hearted, engaging and highly informative, this course is designed for participants of all levels. According to Ms. Hormuth, this workshop is geared not only toward photography enthusiasts, but any individual seeking to open their mind and expand their creative vision as it offers the inspiration and techniques necessary to stretch, sharpen, nurture and energize visual perception.
This eight-week hands-on workshop is set for Tuesdays, 1:30 - 3 p.m. January 31 through March 28 (no class on March 14) and will be held at Hoffman Haus in Fredericksburg.
The fee for the course is $155.
