Bandera County Retired Teachers set meeting

Bandera County Retired Teachers Association (BCRTA) will meet at the Mayan Dude Ranch on Wednesday, Jan. 18. Merry Langlanis, local author, will be the guest speaker. Her topic will be “Critters of Red Heart.”
All retired teachers are encouraged to attend. Please remember to bring your community volunteer hours and number of children’s books you have donated. This will be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with the group. If you are a retired teacher from another state and wish to join our group please come to this meeting. We would love to have you.
The meeting will begin at 10:30 am with a social time followed by a business meeting at 11 am. Items that will be discussed are: Health care and writing to current legislators concerning raise in premiums and attending TRTA State convention in March.
Following the featured presentation by Merry Langlanis, members may enjoy a delicious Mexican food buffet at a cost of $13. Please RSVP to Jack Smith, 830-589-2939 or Sherrie Keese, 830-589-2384 by Sunday, Jan. 15, if you plan to stay for the meal.
The BCRTA would like to take this opportunity, once again, to thank Bandera County businesses and individuals who donated items and money toward door prizes for our college scholarship raffle. Thank you for believing in the youth of Bandera County.
