The BHS Jazz Band and Jazz Choir traveled to Hill Country Elementary and Alkek Elementary on Monday, Dec. 12, to entertain the students and faculty with traditional holiday carols.
On Saturday, Dec. 10, members of the Bulldog Band traveled to Fredericksburg to compete in the ATSSB Region 29/32 All Region Band competition.
Over 200 band students from 28 different districts competed for the All-Region spots.
BHS Freshman Elaina Puckett earned a top spot in the ATSSB All-Region Symphonic Band. Puckett, daughter of Marlo Tejeda and Ross Cruz of Lakehills, placed fourth chair in Alto Sax.
“I am so proud of Elaina. She worked hard and did a great job,” head band director Tim Howell said. “All the students who went to Regional Competition did well and we are very proud of them.”
