Cowgirl Round-up & Show

Wanted: Cowgirls in and around Bandera County: Honoring Equines and their women.
Mark your calendars for the Cowgirl Roundup & Show-deo and panoramic photo, Sunday, Jan. 1.
Please pre-register by Saturday, Dec 31 (or much earlier) for photo and events.
Bring your own horse and coggins and wear your cowgirl hat.
After the photo, the cowgirls will show off their horses in the arena with a parade of breeds and take a little “mic time” to tell how they caught the cowgirl spirit.
Cook shack will be sponsored by our friends HC-SNAP group, Will benefit many projects in the park with the cooperation of the equines and their women.
The Roundup will be held on Sunday, Jan. 1. Here’s the time-line:
• 11 am, Horses and Cowgirls Arrive in Group Lodge area 2 miles behind headquarters, show Coggins, park trailers, saddle-up and warm-up
• Noon, Panoramic Photo at high noon so be ready!
• Stay in arena for the presenting of the Colors by HCSNA mascots, the Junior Ranger Mounted Drill Team
• Stay in arena for the Parade of equestrian breeds and open mic for Cowgirl spirit stories like “Most fun on a horse” “My favorite saddle pal" etc.
• 15 min break to clear the arena for special demonstrations. (Volunteers are needed)
• 1:30 pm, Drill teams, "Molly, the mare-extrodinare", and others TBA, maybe you!
• 15 min break to clear the arena for set-up
• 2:30 - 4:30 pm. Arena play-day and chalenge events for cowgirls of all skill levels!

In case of rainy weather and wet arena we will conduct a cowgirl trail ride. Call before you haul!
