A Thought for the Week

by John M Grimes

Grimes Funeral Chapels has been honored to earn the trust of so many families who have allowed us to serve them during significant moments in their lives since 1930. The Christmas season is supposed to be a time of full of joy, good cheer and optimistic hopes for a new year. To families who have lost a loved one they have faced many "firsts" first anniversary alone, first day at church alone, first birthday alone, first dinner at home, alone, etc. And now, they face their first Christmas "alone".
Since 1998 Grimes Funeral Chapels' family and staff have provided a Christmas memorial program as a community service for all. This Christmas program is a time of reflection and encouragement during the holiday season. It is an opportunity to come together as one group to celebrate lives well lived.
This year, our program is Service of Light in the Midst of Darkness, and will take place on:
Sunday, December 11th, 2016
4:00 P. M.
First United Methodist Church, Kerrville
Everyone in the community is invited and encouraged to take part in this service. May the peace of Christmas fill your heart and home. We hope you will have many warm and happy memories this Christmas season that you will love to remember and share.
