The one thing everyone in the community of Medina and other parts of Bandera County has in common is we depend on volunteer fire departments to keep us safe. Whether fire, storm, accident or simply educating future generations, the Medina Volunteer Fire Department stands ready to help. Now it's time for us to help the fire department - by attending its annual Hunter’s Game Dinner Saturday, Nov. 5.
Held at The Farm Country Club at Pue Road and FM 2828, the festivities begin at 10 am with the infamous Washer Tournament. If dinner is more to your liking, serving and singing by the Caliche Hills Band begins at 4:30 pm and ends at 7. Of course, the fire department will have its traditional smoked brisket, homemade axis and pork sausage, baked beans, coleslaw and all the trimmings. Dinner is only $10 per plate. Homebound food delivery is available by calling 830-221-5674.
Raffle tickets are $20 each for an assortment of guns. At 7, there will also be a local merchant raffle with tickets at varied prices. The night's entertainment will round out a great time with country singer Ricky Adams beginning at 7:30. The dance is $10 per person. BYOB is fine.
Remember, all proceeds from the event go to the Medina Volunteer Fire Department. Volunteers for the event are welcome. If you have any questions, please call Wes at 210-373-0002. See you there!
