A passerby noticed smoke coming out of the laundromat’s front door at 2:09 a.m., after which an unsuccessful attempt was made to extinguish the fire, Stith said. The fire was contained at 3:02 within the dryer where the fire started and ceiling area above it, he said. Bandera Fire and Rescue, the Lakeshore Volunteer Fire Department, the Medina Volunteer Fire Department and the Pipe Creek Volunteer Fire Department each arrived individually more than one hour later.
The fire did not spread to any other property, and every other detail about the fire is under investigation, Stith said.
