The Texas Hill Country 2nd Annual Cork’n Fork benefitted the Arthur Nagel Clinic.

The Arthur Nagel Community Clinic held their annual benefit, the 2nd Annual Texas Hill Country Cork’n Fork, this past Saturday, raising funds to ensure their mission “to provide free primary, preventive, mental, and dental healthcare services to low-income, uninsured residents of Bandera County who have no other access to primary medical care.”
Hosted at the Farm Country Club, the benefit raised funds through ticket sales, a silent auction, a live auction and good will donations.
“The turnout was great--definitely more than we expected,” board director Toni Serene, R.N. said.
Guests were treated to a buffet of diverse food, sure to please anyone’s palate. Restaurants donating their service and cuisine were 1856 Tavern Steakhouse, Branch on High, Cafe at the Ridge, Ceslie’s Texas Kitchen, Country Sweets Bakery, Love Creek Orchard Patio Cafe, Ridin’ the River Cowboy Church, Sue’s Tamales, Twig’s Cafe, Wildflower Bakery and Cafe, Backyard Bistro, Brick’s Cafe, Camp Verde, China Bowl, El Jacalito’s Mexican Restaurant, Palomino’s Mexican Bar and Grill, Sid’s Main Street BBQ, TJ’s Grill at the Old Forge and Twin Elm Guest Ranch.
On the other side of the dance floor, Hill Country Cellars Winery, Bending Branch Winery, Fiesta Winery and Lost Maples Winery offered guests the “cork” part of the benefit, pouring out a diverse sampling of numerous wines.
As guest dined and danced to the music of The Almost Patsy Cline Band, Arthur Nagel board directors prepped and displayed the 36 silent and live auction items donated by numerous businesses and community members.
The entire event was sponsored by Sponsored by Bandera Family Practice, Peterson Health, Bandera Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Twig's Grille, Dianna and Harry Harris, Hondo Bank, Texas Hill Country Bank, Bandera True Value Hardware, Bandera Signs and Advertising, Mark's paint and Body, O'Neal's Florist and Antiques, United Angels, River City Hospice and the Arthur Nagel Comunity Clinic Board of Directors.
