Help homeless hounds during ‘dog days’

It’s difficult to determine which dog to feature for an adoption event, but this sweet guy definitely took precedent over cute little puppies. According to Bandera County Community Liaison Sandra Schott, after his owner died, this Shepherd mix (#16-266) had been living on his own for many months. He’s very friendly and easy-going and would love a chance at another good life. Additionally, he’s missing part of his hind foot so whoever adopts this guy will surely get a crown in heaven. The next adoption event for the Bandera County Animal Shelter takes place from 10 am to 3 pm, Saturday, August 6, at the fire station on Main Street. “We have lots of great dogs but not all of them will be there, so please take a peek at what’s available on our website, http://www.banderacountyac.org/dogs.html, and call me at 858-361-4686 to meet one before or after Saturday!” Schott said. Remember: you can’t buy love, but you can rescue it.
