Bandera County students perform with Hermann Sons


Students from Bandera County Hermann Sons School of Dance performed tap, ballet and jazz routines during a May recital held at the Bandera High School auditorium in Bandera.
The theme for the recital was “Dancing Around the World.” Dancers performed to songs like “Come Fly with Me,” “Bongo Song,” “Splish Splash,” “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride” and “Beer Barrel Polka,” among others.
The Bandera County School of Dance celebrates their 17 year and 17th dance recital. Dance students Taytum Moeller and Morgan Williams were recognized for dancing five years and Emily Brown and Sierra Brown were recognized for 10 years of dancing.
Katie Tanta served as master of ceremonies for the evening. Eileen Heath, president of Bandera County Lodge, introduce special guest speaker for the evening, Allan “Buddy” Pruess, president-CEO Grand Lodge Sons of Hermann. Other dignitaries included Paul Heath, grand finance committee member from the local lodge; Parents Club officers President Stephanie Brown, Vice President Trisha Brown; and Secretary-Treasurer JoDee Foreman. Thanks went out to parents and dance instructor Katie Yanta, Grand Lodge dance coordinator Cecily Kelly and Bandera County Lodge for all their support.
The School of Dance is one of the benefits offered to members by the Fraternal Order of Hermann Sons.
