Anyone who missed the soft opening of the Bandera Natural History Museum is advised to visit 267 Old San Antonio Highway for the grand opening, slated for Saturday, July 2. Dinosaur George will be back for the festivities, along with face painting, 99¢ hot dogs and other surprises. On Saturday, the museum is open from 10 to 5 pm and general admission is $10, and $6 for children ages four to 12 years. Those ages three years and under and active military with proper identification will be admitted free. Special museum hours for the holiday weekend are 11 am to 3 pm, Sunday; and 10 am to 2 pm, Monday. The Bandera Natural History Museum also features a gift shop and café where coffee, snacks and cold beverages are available. For more information, visit www.BanderaNHM.org, or call 830-328-5090. And, don’t forget to have your picture taken with the dinosaurs as did Hartsall Hardy!
