BISD honors local business & community organization


Greg Hicks of the Mayan Ranch hugs BISD Board of Trustees President Laurie Neff. The Mayan Ranch was named to the Stand Up for Texas Public Schools Program sponsored by the Texas Association of School Boards at the board’s May meeting. The legendary Mayan Ranch and the Hicks family have been strong supporters of Bandera ISD. Members of the Hicks family have provided the district with five school board members who have served the district a multitude of years. They have hosted special events and retreats for many district organizations. The Bandera ISD Education Foundation relies on them to provide a venue for their annual Lead Donor Breakfast. The Mayan Ranch has humbly and generously benefited BISD students, teachers and the community for many years. The Mayan Ranch and the Hicks family truly epitomize the cowboy values of selfless service and humility.
