‘Oklahoma’ opens week late at Point

“The winds come sweeping through the plains …” in the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, OKLAHOMA!
And last weekend, the winds brought rain and floods with them to Ingram. Coupled with cast illness, the weather caused the Point Theatre staff to postpone the opening of the show. Therefore, OKLAHOMA! will hit the boards for the first time at 8:30 pm, Friday, June 10.
“Fortunately, we had scheduled four weeks for the run of the popular show,” noted a theatre staffer, “so we still have three weeks for folks to enjoy it.”
Anyone with tickets for last weekend can exchange them for any other night of the show without additional charge.
The OKLAHOMA! cast is made up of Point veterans, newcomers, and students who are anxious to share this high-energy and exciting show with their community.
