Hounds need homes for St. Paddy’s Day

Contributed

Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, meet this love bug – #16-047 – a current resident at the Bandera County Animal Shelter on Highway 173 North. Super sweet, the little lady loves everyone and other dogs. And, she’d adore a plate of corned beef at your house on Thursday, March 17. This cutie and her shelter friends will be available at an adoption “meet & greet” from 10 am to 3 pm, Saturday, March 5, at the Bandera Fire Department stationhouse on Main Street. If #16-047 is adopted this Saturday, the Courier will spring for a new collar – in green if possible! A nominal adoption fee includes a rabies vaccination and spay or neutering procedure. For more information about this great girl or other shelter dogs, call Animal Control Liaison Sandra Schott at 858-361-4686 or visit http://www.banderacountyac.org/dogs.html. Remember, don't let a great dog get adopted before you see it! Check out the website and meet a dog before the on Saturday, March 5, adoption event. You’ll save two dogs – the one you adopt and empty a space for a second dog. Drop by the fire station this Saturday to wish the volunteers and pups a “Happy St. Paddy’s Day!”
