Peterson’s sixth ‘Remarkable Women’ event

Contributed

Women are remarkable as they care for families, friends, co-workers and neighbors, while working inside or outside of the home. Administrators with the Peterson Regional Healthcare Center will offer an evening of health and wellness focused directly on women.
As Shares Marketing Director Lisa Winters noted, “We admit that it’s one of our favorite community programs. Our goal is to offer free education related to the hottest topics related to women’s health – while trying to pamper our attendees at the same time. Not only does this evening focus on education, but it has also become a wonderful girls’ night out. However, special men in their lives are welcome to attend, too.”
Peterson invites women throughout the region to attend the sixth annual Remarkable Women Event from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, Tuesday, Feb. 23. The event will be held at the Ambulatory Care Center, 260 Cully Drive. Participants are encouraged to arrive as early as 5 pm to enjoy refreshments, visit with physicians and medical professionals and pick up a special memento.
This event is free to the public, but those planning to attend are asked to call and reserve a seat as seating is limited. When making a reservation, participants will select two sessions from a choice of six. All will attend the general session at 5:30 pm, featuring Peterson’s newest cardiologist, Dr. Ahmad Elbash, who will discuss Peterson’s advances in heart health and discuss prevention and procedures related to Peripheral Vascular Disease.
Session I breakout groups include:
• Heart Health, Dr. Cynthia Neely
• Incontinence: Symptoms and Solutions, Dr. Sana Jamerson
• BioTe Hormone Replacement and Pellet Therapy, Dr. Kerri Truelock
Session II includes:
• Sleep Apnea and other ENT Conditions, Dr. Sylvester Ramirez
• Bone Health: Myths & Facts with orthopedic surgeons, Dr. Robert Mitchell and Dr. William Allen
• Fighting the Five Most Common Foot Woes, Dr. Paul Valenza
Participants must select one lecture from each session.
To register, call 830-258-7610. Registration and selected session information can be left on the recording but staff will be happy to return calls if more information is needed. To view a flyer, visit www.petersonhealth.com.
