Lions Club cranks up Ice Cream Crank-off

Members of the Utopia Lions Club will once again sponsor the popular Ice Cream Crank-off on Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Utopia Community Building. Ice cream should be delivered by 5:45 pm that day with the tasting to begin at 6 pm.
For $3 per cup, folks can eat up as much ice cream as they can hold – until the supplies run out, that is.
As usual, the Caliche Hill Band will provide musical entertainment throughout the evening.
Proceeds from the crank-off are earmarked for the Utopia Lions Club’s charitable fund that provides local scholarships and contributions to nonprofit organizations.
Club members hope for a large turnout of ice cream chefs, so everyone is advised to “unpack the crankers and head on down to the community building for a festive pre-Valentines Day treat.”
