Keep Texas Beautiful provided for 10 large bins for plastic bottles and aluminum cans.
Both grants were is collaboration with the KTB affiliate, Keep Utopia Beautiful, a non-profit that has done amazing work to promote recycling in the Utopia community.
The school recycling club, Gang Green, is in charge of collecting the recyclables.
These new bins will help the district to "green up."
The district has been collecting and recycling paper and cardboard for years now, but now will be able to systematically focus on aluminum and plastic as well.
