Knights ready for Lenten fish fries

Fans of the first Friday of the month fish fry hosted by the Knights of Columbus over at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church will be happy to hear the crew is gearing up for Lent.
After taking a little holiday break, the first Friday fry will start up again this Friday, Feb. 5, with Lenten meals served on the following Fridays: Feb. 12, 19, and 26; also March 4, 11 and 18.
Plates are served from 5 pm until the food runs out.
A donation of $8 per plate gets a meal of southern fried catfish, cole slaw, hush puppies, French fries, pinto beans and coffee or tea.
The fish fry takes place at St. Joseph Hall at the corner of Cedar and 7th Streets in Bandera.
Eat in and visit with friends, or get a plate to go.
Proceeds benefit the Knights scholarship fund and other projects.
