Community art lending program unveiled

In 2016, the Peterson Regional Medical Center (PRMC) will celebrate the third year of the Community Art Lending Program. This highly successful art program displays local and regional artists at PRMC's Outpatient Rehabilitation Department at the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC). It continues to grow each quarter.
Located at 260 Cully Drive, adjacent to the main hospital, artists are invited to lend their framed works for three months at a time. Artwork is displayed down the main hallway from the reception area toward the rehabilitation gym, one of the busiest and frequented hallways in the facility.
The staff is calling for new artists to submit work for display in the new quarter, which runs from January through the end of March. Artists interested in submitting art for consideration should submit photos of available framed pieces by Wednesday, Dec. 30.
Open to all Hill Country artists, including high school and university students, the Peterson Community Art Lending Program promotes talented artists and offers the patients, families and staff, an artistic environment.
Shares Marketing and Community Relations Director Lisa Winters offered, "This art program has far surpassed its goal to simply promote artists and offer a better aesthetic to patients and their families. It's been a pure blessing as over the years we've connected with each supporting artist and daily witnessed the inspiration their art brings to our patients. We are touched by the generosity of our talented community and very excited about selecting new work for the New Year."
Local artists or photographers who would like to participate this year should email photos of available pieces to Winters at lwinters@petersonrmc.com or call 830-258-7628.
