Bandera's SWCD native plant sale


For a second year, members of the Bandera Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) will sponsor a native plant sale from 1 pm to 5 pm, Friday, Dec. 11, at the Mansfield Park Livestock Show Barn.
Trees and shrubs available will include Monterrey Oak, Lacey Oak, Burr Oak, Chinquapin Oak, Possumhaw, Texas Walnut, Texas Redbud, Mexican Buckeye, Mexican Plum, Cedar Elm, Mountain Laurel, Anacacho Orchid, Skeleton Leaf Goldeneye, Santolina (Grey or Green) and Dwarf Barbados Cherry.
Desert Willow, Bald Cypress, Flame Acanthus, Sotol and Red Yucca will also be sold.
Price is $25 for 3- and 5-gallon containers and $10 for 1-gallon containers.
Residents who would like other trees and shrubs are asked to contact the SWCD for availability.
