AACOG takes show on the road

Event

The Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG) Road Show will be held in Bandera County from 5 pm to 7 pm, Thursday, Dec. 10, at the Bandera County Library, 515 Main Street. The event is open to the public and the community is urged to attend and learn more about - and apply for - the various programs AACOG offers. Other organizations participating in the program such as Aetna, San Antonio Food Bank, and Texas STAR-STAR+PLUS and Texas Health Steps, also offer citizen services. The event will also include giveaways, door prizes, and refreshments.
AACOG programs featured at the road show include AACOG's Alamo Area Agency on Aging; Alamo Regional Transit; the free Weatherization Assistance Program; services for veterans and their families, including Call-A-Ride 4 Veterans; Natural Resources-Air Quality and Resource Recovery.
"AACOG brings our outreach event to one county per month, and Bandera County is our destination in December," said Tiffany Harris, AACOG public relations coordinator.
