Bandera SWC District sponsors native plant sale


For the second year, a native plant sale will be sponsored by the Bandera Soil and Water Conservation District. The sale will take place on Friday, Dec. 11, from 1 to 5 pm, at the Mansfield Park Livestock Show Barn.
Trees and shrubs available will be Monterrey Oak, Lacey Oak, Burr Oak, Chinquapin Oak, Possumhaw, Texas Walnut, Texas Redbud, Mexican Buckeye, Mexican Plum, Cedar Elm, Mountain Laurel, Anacacho Orchid, Skeleton Leaf Goldeneye, Santolina (Grey or Green) and Dwarf Barbados Cherry. Other plants that will be available will include Desert Willow, Bald Cypress, Flame Acanthus, Sotol and Red Yucca.
Price will be $25 for three and five-gallon containers and $10 for one-gallon containers. Pre-orders due by Dec. 4.
