BISD names new assistant principals

Bandera ISD teachers Dixie Moseley and Jack Irvin will join the campus administration at Alkek Elementary and Bandera High School respectively as new assistant principals this fall. Mosely will assume the assistant principal position vacated by Chip Jackson who became Alkek Principal in May. Irvin will replace former Assistant Principal Ginna Marks who accepted a position out of the district.
Moseley has worked at Bandera Middle School for 17 years as a teacher, coach and extra-curricular sponsor. She graduated from Texas Lutheran and earned her Masters of Education from Our Lady of the Lake University.
"Bandera ISD makes the overall success of its students a priority. I am proud to be a part of the administrative team at Alkek so that I can support this long standing tradition of excellence," she said.
Jack Irvin, a 13 year veteran, has been at Bandera High School since 2012 as a business teacher, coach and sponsor. Irvin has a Bachelors of Business Administration from Sam Houston State University and a Masters in Educational Administration from Lamar University.
"Students must be continually challenged by teachers who know them and who provide effective instruction. I look forward to being an assistant principal at Bandera High School where this happens as a matter of routine practice," said Irvin. "I am privileged to work on such an accomplished campus."
