SAT, ACT college entrance exams presentation August 19

Kaplan Testing will be presenting an information session on the new Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) and as well as the American College Test (ACT) at the Bandera High School Auditorium on Wednesday, August 19 at 6:30 pm.
As the nation's most widely used college admission test, the SAT is the first step students can take toward a college degree. It's taken by more than two million students every year and is accepted by most college and universities. The SAT also provides the chance to connect students with scholarship opportunities and place out of certain college courses. All Bandera County residents are invited to this free public session, but the information will be most relevant to students who are in high school or will be within the next two years.
"We look forward to seeing everyone on August 19 and I hope our students will take advantage of this great opportunity to learn about the SAT and ACT," said BHS Principal Sergio Menchaca.
SAT test dates for the 2015-2016 school year are: Oct. 3 (BHS), Nov. 7 (BHS), Dec. 5 (BHS), and Jan. 23, May 7 and June 4, 2016.
