Fund raisers planned for low cost spay neuter clinic

By Carolyn B. Edwards BCC Writer

That devoted defender of our four legged friends, Pat Godkin, has taken the first steps toward establishing a low-cost spay neuter clinic in Pipe Creek. Godkin has set up the non-profit 10th Life Surgical Center, donated land at the corner of Willow Springs and Bump Gate Road, and begun raising funds.
Right now, Godkin has an offer of a $120,000 donated building if she can raise an additional $40 thousand in matching funds.
"We've set up a Go Fund Me drive," Godkin said, "and we'll also welcome checks to help us meet our goal."
The spay neuter clinic will benefit all of the non-profit rescue groups in Bandera County by offering low cost spay neuter services without having to travel to Boerne or other locations. In addition, Godkin plans to offer a wellness clinic for pets of low income pet owners, so the care would extend beyond just spay neuter services.
The Courier will have more details on this project in the future, but in the meantime, be generous and send that check to 10th Life Surgical Center, 1931 Bump Gate Road, Pipe Creek, Texas 78063.
