Bark, meow, swim, grunt or roar your way to the pet parade

The Cowboy Capital Pet Assistance League Inc. is hosting the 19th Annual July 4th Pet Parade at Bandera City Park this Saturday morning. All kinds of well-behaved creatures are welcome to participate in this colorful celebration.
Organizers say they welcome anything you can lead, ride or carry. But the fact is, you don't even have to have a pet to participate. Get creative and make a representation of your favorite critter, or dress up like your ideal furry, finned or feathered friend!
Contestant entry fee is $2 and the judges will pick the Best of Show and Most Creative entries. Categories included Star Spangled Honors (most patriotic), Best of the Wild West (Cowboy Capital western), Look-Alike Award (pets who look like their owners), Most Talented pet, Most Original pet, and Favorite Storybook Character.
Registration begins at 9 am, judging is at 10 am and the parade starts at 1:30 am.
