Mary Ann Robbins, chair for the 2015 Black and Red Ball sponsored by the Bandera Community Foundation, presents a check in the amount of $3073 to Dietmar Schott, president of the Silver Sage Senior Center. The money will support the Meals on Wheels program.

Buck Murray, president of the Bandera Community Foundation, announced that the Silver Sage Community Center recently received a check in the amount of $3073, proceeds from the silent auction at the 2015 Black and Red Ball hosted by the Foundation.
"The Black and Red Ball has always benefitted Meals on Wheels and this year is no different," said Murray. "This is the first year that the BCF has produced the ball, having taken it over in 2015 from the Silver Sage who has a longstanding history with the ball. We are pleased to have raised a significant amount to give back to the Silver Sage in order to help feed those in need in Bandera County."
Dietmar Schott, president of the Board of Directors for the Silver Sage said, "On behalf of my entire board, I want to give a heartfelt thanks to the Bandera Community Foundation for their tremendous support."
The Bandera Community Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization founded in 1999 in order to bring local nonprofits and donors together and has served as a platform for building and improving the Bandera County area. Its primary fundraiser for the year is Celebrate Bandera which has been held every Labor Day Weekend since 2001. The group also sponsors numerous events and concerts throughout the year in support of the community.
