Lake level continues rising

Like a blessing, the water level of Medina Lake continues to rise following heavy rainfall on Memorial Day weekend and the days following. A possible tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico may bring more precipitation.
As of Monday, June 15, water had risen to 1,044.9 feet in the lake. In 2013 the level was 981.88 on the same date and in 2014 it was at 980.05 feet. Full pool is 1,062 feet.
In addition, local residents are enjoying afternoons splashing in Bandera County's streams where, for the first time in years, there is beautiful clear water.
