HC-TSGRA announces scholarship winners & officers

The Hill Country Sheep and Goat Auxiliary met June 1 at the ranch home of Peggy Matli. Speaker, Attorney Tammy Fisher told some history of the Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers and of plans of the Centennial of TSGRA to be held at the YO Ranch Hotel, Kerrville, July 23 - 25.
Scholarship winners announced for this spring are dividing $21,200. Local winners include college juniors or above Katie Mangold of Bandera attending Tarleton, and Corey Flach of Bandera attending South Plains A&M. Local high school graduate winners are Hailey Morgan of Medina, accepted at ASU; and Courtney Flach of Bandera, accepted at South Plains A&M.
This auxiliary has informed over 5,000 people this season about the sheep and goats business, completing this spring by teaching at the agriculture days in various counties. Other events have been the farm and ranch days at the LBJ Ranch, the Food and Wine Festival in Fredericksburg and the Lamb Jam in Austin.
